Challenge
Shopping online is easy for city users, but for rural India, it's a very different story.
Rozana had three big problems to solve:
People didn't know how to use the app — Most rural users weren't comfortable with smartphones or apps. They needed someone else to help them place orders.
Too much dependency on support teams — Rozana had a team of "Peer Partners" who placed orders on behalf of users. This worked for a while, but it couldn't scale.
Small order values — Since delivery was free, users placed many small orders throughout the day. This made delivery costs very high and hurt the business.
